Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: 7 September 2026

BCyber Pty Ltd (ABN 67 624 307 124) is committed to making its website usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they rely on. As a cyber governance, risk and compliance practice, we hold ourselves to the same standard of proof we ask of others: accessibility here is built into the site’s code, reviewed against a recognised standard, and improved over time — not bolted on as a marketing overlay.

1. The standard we work to

Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We treat two levels distinctly:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA — permanent baseline. This is always on. There is deliberately no “accessibility off” state; the baseline cannot be switched away from.
  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA — enhanced mode. An optional layer that adds the newer 2.2 success criteria (such as stronger focus visibility, focus never obscured, and larger interactive targets). It can be enabled site-wide by our team.

Current conformance target on this site: WCAG 2.1 Level AA (permanent baseline).

2. What we have built in

These measures are implemented directly in the site’s code and apply across every page from the document root down:

  • Keyboard access & skip link. A “skip to content” link is the first focusable element on every page, and the site can be operated by keyboard.
  • Visible, unobscured focus. Focused elements are clearly indicated and are not hidden behind the fixed header when you tab to them.
  • Reduced motion honoured. If your device requests reduced motion, the site’s animation engine genuinely stops animating — not just its CSS transitions.
  • Larger interactive targets. In enhanced mode, buttons and controls meet a minimum target size for easier, more reliable interaction.
  • Distinguishable links. Links can be set to be underlined so they are not identified by colour alone.

3. What this is — and what it is not

We are deliberately precise about our claims, because overstating accessibility is itself a compliance risk:

  • We do not use a third-party accessibility “overlay” or one-click widget. Remediation is done in the code of the site itself.
  • We do not claim to be “certified” or “fully compliant” through any automated tool. No single product can guarantee WCAG conformance.
  • Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some content or third-party components may not yet fully meet every success criterion, and we work to identify and fix gaps.
  • Any formal conformance claim we make is supported by review and testing — not by marketing language alone.

4. Ongoing review

We review the accessibility of the site as we add and change features, and we update this statement to reflect the current conformance target and any known limitations. This page shows the standard the site is presently configured to meet.

5. Feedback and contact

If you encounter any barrier using this website, or you need information provided in a different format, please tell us — your feedback helps us fix real problems. We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
